Slumdog Millionaire
May 8, 2009 – 1:27 pmA great and refreshed story comes from a novel “Q&A” by Vikas Swarup. I was very engaged with the story. The world that is created by Danny Boyle seems very real and depict the original condition of slum area in Mumbai.
This film is about a guy named Jamal Malik that is just one question away from winning the grand prize on India’s version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? Many people don’t trust this, especially the host of the show, Prem Kumar who thinks that Jamal is cheating. When Jamal is interrogated by the police, he describes his own life story that leads him to the answers of each the quiz question.
Actually, Jamal’s participation in this quiz is because he want to meet the love of his life, Latika. He knew that many people will watch this show, including Latika.
